We have eaten a lot of Indian (takeaway, cooked at home and in India itself). The food at Zaika was not good. The mild curry had no spice or flavor, it tasted like tomato soup. The medium curry was so spicy you could barely eat it. The rice was undercooked. When we called to let them know about the rice they were extremely defensive. We cook only basmati rice at home so are very familiar with how it should taste. Normally I would not give a review but I was very disappointed in the lack of Zaika to take feedback in a professional manner. The papadum was good. They have lost a potentially regular customer as we have just moved nearby.
We love this curry and get it delivered often. Really yummy and always good service. Tandoori, vegetarian dishes and butter chicken are always good.
We got take aways last night from Zaika and it was delicious. We ordered the Handi Lamb and the Chicken Sabziwala and both were perfect. Lots of meat and yummy sauce. The onion Bhajis are also yummy but the verge Pakoras would have been better with a lighter crisper batter. . We have dined in in the past and have never found the staff to be rude or unfriendly. Overall we would highly recommend this restaurant
We went to this restaurant last night. The food was lovely but there was not enough of it. The meat in the two dishes was very sparse with lots of sauce. The one waitress was not very friendly and did not explain what was what with the starter. Have been before and it was great but won't be going back.
