It was first time visiting the establishment and wow what a reception from Johan and his team. I will definitely comeback with the family. Awesome experience. Rooms: The rooms are family and child friendly, if you are looking for a backpacking with a difference, chekc out Mdumbi Backpackers Nearby activities: There is a beautiful trail and the ocean is a stone throw away Safety: There is peace and tranquility, safety is important to the Backpackers team Walkability: The ocean is just around the corner Food drinks: Local prepared food is so delicious, toasties and wraps etc..

Great service, great people, vibe and location. Bathrooms can be improved slightly. Would be great if they sold some sandwiches or any other kind of food. Showers could be slightly better. But a really stunning area and great time. Would definitely recommend. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5

Amazing location in the heart of the wild coast. Great views and access to the beach for kayaking, surfing and boat launches. Rooms were good but lacked a few basic items (racks for clothing, bathroom racks, lock for the door). Staff were friendly and rooms were always clean. Great atmosphere in the common rooms. Would highly recommend coming here (if your car can survive the road).

Great location and well laid out theres just a few things missing that make a big difference. Nowhere to hang bath towels in bedrooms, no places to wash and hang wetsuits or swimming costumes to dry near the whale house. No locks on most doors except bathrooms. Showers were often in use by many people at the same time and the pressure was almost useless. Hot water was not very reliable either. Cleaning service and staff were absolutely great Nearby activities: Sardine run is top tier

Excellent way to experience the authentic rural Wild Coast in an unassuming and relaxed atmosphere.
