The owner and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. the owner understands what veganism is and even suggests to adapt one of the dishes (sweet instead of cheese). 2 side vegan dishes on the menu, a side vegetarian dishes.
We were in nyaung shwe for four days and visited this place 3 times because there was a lot of vegan options and it was delicious! the chef is very friendly and assures us that they take different pots for vegan dishes and make sure that really everything is like a vegan person would like it to be! the personal was very friendly and the restaurant is simple, but beautiful. the court I always had was alo gobi! but we still ordered three or four curries! always grateful for places like this!
We only ate there once, as there are several nice spots in town for veg/vegan options, but the staff at the restaurant were definitely the nicest we’ve met. Beyond that, we had dishes we had not had before such as the local tomato salad which is made from tomatoes grown on the lake’s floating garden, as well as a masala dish with black chickpeas (delicious!! My personal recommendation is to not go for the set menu but instead spend a few more dollars and try some really unique dishes.
Went here every day for dinner whilst in Nyangshwe, even twice for breakfast. The food was delicious and the owner and his family the loveliest people (they even offered to open the restaurant earlier than normal (6 am) because we had a flight to catch. The samosas and onion bhajis are yum! They have a vegan menu plus even though they also serve meat, they cook everything seperately Absolutely fantastic!
