We discovered this restaurant by chance and ended up coming back every day. The owner is a very friendly guy who makes you feel welcome. The food is also amazing. I usually ordered the tea leaf salad and veg curry. The service was excellent, and our vegan food was top-notch, making the experience even more enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable, making it a must-visit for anyone staying around Inle Lake.

We stumbled upon Sun Rays while searching for a place to watch the sunset. We were greeted by "Samsoe," a kind and friendly man who spoke English well. When we inquired about vegan options, he showed his knowledge by adapting the menu for us. The quality of the food was exceptional considering the affordable prices. We ended up dining at Sun Rays every day during our stay, as we believe it is a hidden gem in the area. We highly recommend it to everyone. Enjoy!

Our friends introduced us to this charming restaurant that quickly became our go-to spot for lunch every day. The owner is lovely and the food is absolutely delicious, cooked with love and passion. The menu offers a variety of vegan vegetable curries and salads, with our favorites being the eggplant, carrot, cucumber, and tea leaf salads, as well as the vegetable curry. All dishes are made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. We would give this place 5 stars if we could! We were regulars for a week and never left disappointed. We highly recommend this restaurant. For those with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the fried bananas with sugar (or honey for vegans) for a perfect end to your meal. The restaurant is located right over the bridge, on the right side, with no street number.
