Harbor Fish Chips - Oceanside

Exceptional service. Huge portions. Delicious food! We came in 15 minutes before closing with 9 people. The waitress Bella was super friendly and patient. We changed our order a few times and it was super helpful and friendly about it. Hopefully management rewards Bella for great service. She also offered to start order shortly before we go so it will still be hot. I ask for oyster crackers for our baby and they gave us a whole handful. The teersauce and lemons are out so you can get enough! I love a place with good service.

I was in London, I was everywhere in the USA, I live in NorCal and I had fish and chips everywhere. I visited my people living in Oceanside and they brought me here. This is handful, the best fish and chips I've ever had in my whole life. I started with a simple middle order of two fish fillets. They were huge generous portions with decent pommes, but after puncturing into the crisp, light tempura magic I was immediately shocked how perfect they were. I have both huge 9 inch long fillets that enjoy every bite, eat my pommes and had to go back for more. So I got two filets, Cole Slaw, a fish taco and updated the page on the fish taco to ride pineapple rings, which men recommended as a good desert. The fish taco was HUGE, I can't imagine eating two. It was embarrassing and unique. But back to the fried fish fillets afterwards and I didn't have wrong when they were the first time perfect. The Cole Slav was refreshing and I would recommend that over the frits, as it tasted very fresh. Finally I ate the pineapple and it was warm, slightly sweet with a slight dusting of powder sugar. I felt like I was in a fancy British baker's shop and got those as a child on which to munch while my mother bought supplies. Perfectly perfect. I love this restaurant.

Gave this place another shot as went a couple years ago and vowed not to get ripped off again. Explained my experience from two years ago and Asked if they were going to be large pieces or bits and pieces made to look like one big piece.The workers behind the counter were extremely nice and gave me an explanation for why I was served bits a couple years ago so I decided to place an order. The difference was night and day from my first experience I will be coming back again

Great location to eat and enjoy the food. From previous reviews I wasn't sure what to expect because some days were great and some days were off. Mine might have been a little off. It was a bit too much batter and very greasy. Not a whole lot of flavor but it was still good. If I'm ever near here again, I'd give it another go.
