This place had a pretty good rating, so I thought it might be good enough to satisfy my desire. Not even close! Ordered execution of 2 meat plates on the melody of $41 with brisket, bone-in chicken, and pulled pig. I honestly don't know where to start. The bride was gray and fat. I always turned it around and looked for a darkened piece somewhere. Large fats took over most of our double share. With burned ends and well boiled brisket, which almost melt fat pieces. There was no melting. In fact, the meat was hardly warm, so it was only a terrible, unsatisfactory bite. The bone in the chicken... look, I LOVE myself at home CHARRED FOOD!!! This poor chicken had literally cooked out every bite of life. You know, if it's an old piece of chicken and the meat doesn't look like meat anymore? Look at pictures. And I thought the bride was bad... you couldn't eat that chicken? The roasted corn cold, side-white warm in trial. The mini maize bread seemed fresh at least, and my husband liked the Koleslaw. If I had eaten in the house, I would have sent it back. We didn't throw $41 literally away!!! Okay, will not be exaggerated: $41 for 1.5 mini-massin muffins and one side of the Koleslaw. It's just not okay. I really hope someone contacts me to make it right.
We ordered a variety of dishes, starting with the chicken, which was plentiful and enough to serve as a full meal. The nachos were a delight, and the BBQ Cobb Salad was perfect for those looking for a healthier option without sacrificing flavor. We also tried the two-item combo with green beans and mac 'n' cheese; both the meat and sides were excellent. The cornbread muffins were a treat as well—perfectly sized and just what I was looking for in a muffin. Additionally, we've ordered their family meals when dining with a larger group, and they never disappoint! These meals are both affordable and a convenient way to share a meal with loved ones. Overall, Ellie Lou's is a great place to enjoy a meal together as a family!
Fantastic staff and an excellent location! While it might be a challenge to find BBQ restaurants in Windermere, this one truly stands out. The ambiance is pleasant, and the food is delicious. We did think the sauce on the beef plate was a bit on the sweet side, but overall, everything was wonderful. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is incredibly helpful.
Decided to check this place a few days ago. Fast casual place with large bbq. We ordered the kc wet sandwich and the pick two platers (breast and pulled chicken) both were delicious. Would definitely recommend!
I catered my husbands retirement party with Ellis Lou?s Brews BBQ and the food was outstanding! We served bone in chicken, pork, settlers bean and Mac/cheese. The meats were seasoned perfectly and very moist. The beans are the best I?ve had in Florida. The Mac/cheese was an absolute favorite. Leigh was so helpful and professional. Thank you Ellie Lou?s for helping make this a celebration to remember.
