Seesh Mahal Hotel - Orachha

We could not stay here but had few meals while we were in Orchha. The food is good, try fish fry! Staff shows courtesy and is helpful. Tip: to stay here one has to book through MP tourism web site well in advance.

This restaurant probably has the best location on town, we visited it for lunch and we weren't desiappointed. Expect the basic Indian/mughlai fare with nothing exceptional in terms of taste or menu.

This restaurant is located in Orchha Palace and it is the part of the palace. It offers peaceful ambiance. Service is good (though bit slow), but one can just relax and enjoy the food. Food waulity is good and some local cuisines are also offered

The Hotel is inside the of Fort Jahgir in Orchha near to Jhansi , I not stayed here but for sure its really nice form out side while walking on Fort top you can see the same

There is no doubt that this hotel complex is the prime property in Orchha and what can be better than staying in the same palace grounds that you've come to visit. Having said all that, this place is run by State sponsored MP Tourism that in itself says a lot. Don't get me wrong, I think MP Tourism is one of the best in the country but it simply does not match the many luxuries offered by it's private counterparts running heritage hotels. It's a simple menu, friendly staff, occasional hiccups, slow paced, clean surroundings and grand view and feel. You can spend the entire day exploring the palace grounds and everything is a stone throw away. Prices are fine I think. Avoid the Maharani suite. The key is to make the most out of the property while there. Enjoy your stay! :)
