Bartaco - Orlando

This place is incredible. The vibes inside and out are very welcoming. Inside the decor is beautiful and they also have games for entertainment which is great for the kids. We sat outside because it was beautiful out and the decor outside is just as great as the inside. The menu is via a barcode so you have to scan and pay through there. The tacos are all amazing but all the food pretty much has a kick so be prepared for that. I do believe you can ask for stuff to be removed but if you like kick this is the right place to try. I really enjoyed the ceviche because it was super fresh and the chili lime shrimp taco was my favorite next to the pork belly with the pickled red onions on top. This place is perfect for a taco Tuesday or really any day! They do offer rice bowls and stuff on the kids menu so if you want something other than tacos you are at the right spot. Ok this one is hard because Bartaco is one of those places that is different but in a good way! Let’s explain and let me explain why only 4 stars instead of 5! The service by the manager was amazing she sat us down and explained the whole way of ordering, the cashless payments that they only accept and the size of the dishes which was pretty cool. It’s like a street taco so everything is made fresh as you order, you order kind of like tapas but not really, you are ordering individual items for you or your guests, or you add your guest to your bill and once you place your order then because they are your guest if everyone is on one check, they can proceed to order as well, all added to the open tab! Different I know but it was kind of cool we just had some WiFi issues and it was glitchy but once it stabilized we were able to order at any moment we wanted more food! I actually ordered the pork belly and sesame steak twice it was that good! Iam pretty picky but even I was able to modify my order to include or exclude what I wanted! The food was amazing and delicious and on time! The cocktails we didn’t want but we did want to indulge but really didn’t have a way to order something specific that I seen, I won’t blame as they probably would have been able to make something special but we didn’t ask! The decor is awesome and the space is nice and social. The downside was because we ordered several things to try we racked up a hefty bill for the three of us and the 18% gratuity that is included might be a little high since you really don’t have an individual server taking care of you! We kind of did simply because we had not been there and we needed a little help so I did not mark a four star because of that alone since the food was good, the place was unique and the manager was friendly enough to walk us through the whole set up! We will be back again and a little more prepared but Bartaco in Dr. Phillips area off of Sand Lake Rd was a great option!

After being on the road for 2.5 hrs coming from Palm Beach Island, my friend and I were starving for some good food… we pulled up to Domu which is 2 doors down from Bartaco and were told there was a 1-1.5hr wait… being on the road this long is enough to make someone hangry but as a New Yorker we expect to be seated within 5 mins of entering an establishment. I think the blessings from the skies pointed us to Bartaco because we deserved the best food and boy did we get what we came for… the entire restaurant gave us a Hamptons feel, Watermill to be exact, and that was such a warm feeling… it was such a rugged yet elegant vibe that you felt the love the minute you walked in. The food is incomparable to anything we have ever had… the hand made tacos are just the perfect bite; mushroom, cauliflower, falafel, duck, brisket… we had about 80% of the menu because we just had to try it all. I can’t say enough about this place but you have to see it and try it to appreciate and enjoy it

Bar taco is located in an easy-breezy shopping center (Publix groceries, Einstein bagels, etc) so there is a lot of free parking to get in/out of the restaurant with in/outside seating. Most days I would bring a sweater if you sit inside it is cold and the music is a bit loud. We ordered the guacamole and chips, they come out as discs, see photos…salty, crisp and delicious. Next was the falafel taco and cauliflower taco. Both are about two bites. Then we shared the cauliflower rice bowl, I would mix up the ingredients in the rice bowl or some of the bowl won’t have enough flavor. They used to have 1 gelato for $3.50 and 4 for $10, they don’t do that anymore. We were too full anyway AND with it being almost Christmas didn’t need the calories… no added regrets! If you have skip the chips get the gelato!!!! Go, enjoy and eat the !!!

What a fantastic establishment! The food was fresh and you could taste the love put into each bite. The bar tender was friendly and welcoming. It's places like this that make me wish I lived closer.
