Ihop - Orlando

We had not visited IHOP for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the modernized look compared to what we remember. The staff was nice, but busy as many places in this area. Eating was ok comfort food, but not much too rave in appearance or taste.

I had 2x2x2 with two eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes. It was easy and enough food without exaggerating it. The server was very nice, but seemed to cover a large area. Waiting was about 20 minutes at 9:30 for a party of 2. When we left about 35 minutes later, it seemed to wait twice as many people. I have not seen the redemption code for the new Pancoins IHOP reward program on paid or unpaid revenue yet.

Check-in was chaotic with social distancing, crowded waiting and people come and go. No clear idea waiting to stay, wait for an order or wait to check. The hostess was very busy, also clearing tables, but when it came to call ready tables she was very difficult to understand. We waited for the curb because it was so crowded. Finally, she slapped her head out of the door quietly called a distinctive party number and name once and then went back in. We checked that no one understood what she said, and then immediately went after her to check what she said, but she was gone. When she came back to the podium, we asked if she called us and she said rudely, I called you! Then we showed ourselves to our places. Minus a for her! Marc, our server, was excellent! He was friendly, attentive and a great communicator! He took time to talk to the members of the tables and connect despite employment. The service was definitely personalized! He checked us to make sure we had everything we needed, but was not overwhelming. He took our order for a table of 4 from memory with many supplements and has 't miss one thing!!! He even remembered who got what when the food came! If you are here, ASK FOR MARC!!! The food came in time and was delicious! Despite the hostess, we would definitely come back!

Can't wait until I was over again! Home of work and decided to stop with my staff and enjoy every meal. S/o to the manager KAT and their amazing customer service. See next week lol.

Pros: Food for everyone, friendly service (Mari was great, friendly, remembered our orders, checked on us frequently). Cons: Busy, so food took a little longer than normal, and equipment issues caused delays. I ordered a Poblano Omlete with Tres Leches pancakes. The meal as a whole was delicious. Again, Mari did an exceptional job of making sure we were being taken care of. She even made sure to update us as to what was going on in the kitchen. My food came out hot, I had just wished the Poblano Omlete was a little more spicy, but there is only so much you can do to appeal to a general audience. Overall it was a good experience.
