I hated the “Mango juice” because it was far too thick, but it is nice that Chutney is included in the price of the buffet, because this is often not the case with Indian restaurants.
We found a groupon and we found out it was under new ownership. The food was wonderful and tasteful. The waiting staff is very helpful and attentive. We have been back since our first groupon visit and will continue to enjoy Southern Spice! The portions are very generous!!
Spacious, good ambience, good place for friends and family dinner went to dinner, but I think they also have lunch buffet. If you like spicy, ask for spicy food. Medium spicy is on a milder side. Chicken Tikka engraving was good, but something too creamy. Podi masala dosa was a unique variety not seen in other places. Good presentation and good service. However, could use some more southern Indiana authentic spices. Especially gunpowder.
The food is good, not the best. All dishes are up to the brand. If you want a variety of menu items, then it is not the place. Butter chicken masala was mad not sure why it tastes so. I liked the fish sword that was good. Just a desert. Rasam wasn't there, we went to south seasons, so we thought we'd get one. For $14 is what you get on a buffet. The best part was the service of the staff they were polite and quiet until the restaurant closing time:
The food was amazing! We really enjoyed the garlic naan with all our dishes. The servers were very very friendly and helpful. They absolutely will help you understand anything or what to get and really care about their food and providing the best experinece. The atmosphere was perfect and very clean inside. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be back!
