Good food, stop almost every time we head up north! Sometimes wait time can get a little long for food, but the food is always great!
Great place...food is great and the atmosphere is even better!
Took forever to get service and the waitress rolled her eyes at our small group as we walked in. **** was terrible and the pop was flat. Gross greasy food. Won't go back. Awful.
We were driving through Outing on the way back to Emily and thought this place looked like it was worth a try for lunch. The interior of the bar is very dim, and depicts your average northwoods bar on the lake. We sat at the bar, and were greeted by the bartender who appeared to have a few other things going on, and really wasn 't the most engaging person I ever met. Perhaps they were thrown off by the five idiots at the other end of the bar who were ordering shots, or the cook in the back who seemed to have some personal issues happening that day. (More on that in shortly) They had a decent variety of beer on tap, but a number of them appeared to be out at the moment. I 'm sure that had something to do with the beer truck in the lot as we were pulling in. I was able to snag a couple of taps of Surly Furious, which was a nice option for a noon-time brew. We ordered up the plate of Quesadilas and a Bacon Chicken Ranch sandwich with a side of fries and coleslaw for an extra buck each, and proceeded to wait, and wait. I finished my first beer, and was well into my second when I saw the server disappear into the back kitchen with an annoyed look on their face. Ten minutes later our food was served. I immediately noticed the bacon on my Bacon Ranch chicken was actually bacon bits. This was a bit annoying, since I did not recall ordering a Bacon Bit Ranch Chicken sandwich. The ranch was a bit runny, and overall the plate looked rushed. On a positive note, the fries were fresh and delicious, and the cole slaw was creamy. My girlfriend pointed out the fact that the cheese in the quesadila she ordered was not fully melted. I imagine this place is probably more geared to the boat and brew crowd, and not known for amazing cuisine, so I would not order food if I stopped in here again, which is highly doubtful. As far as bar food goes, it was pretty substandard. The cook even came out and joked about how the bartender cooked everyones ' food. I laughed a bit at the ridiculousness of his boastful remark, and made a comment to my partner that good help must be hard to find .
