Nylos - Paia

This restaurant offers one of the best food experiences you can have, not only in Maui or the US, but around the world. The chef uses local ingredients to their fullest potential, pushing the envelope to create an amazing evening. The wine pairings are also perfectly matched. Dining here is not just a meal out, but a unique journey for all your senses.

The owners show great attention to detail in everything they do. The emphasis is on care. The food and experience were excellent, with a level of care that made me feel like the only customer in the restaurant. The dishes are unique and carefully crafted. A must-visit in Maui. We celebrated my 30th birthday at NyloS, and it was the best fine dining experience we've had on our vacation. The food was incredible and clearly made with care. The service was excellent, with genuine conversation. The intimate setting was perfect and made the whole experience special. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and reflects the pride the family has in their business. I highly recommend NyloS if you're in Maui! Thank you for a wonderful time! The only downside is that you have to travel to Paia. If it weren't for that, I would rate it even higher. Unfortunately, I will no longer be visiting Paia. My family and I have frequented the area for food and entertainment for as long as I can remember, but now it has become unpleasant due to the presence of drug addicts. It's a bit unsettling.

When we arrived for our 5pm reservation, we waited at least 20 minutes for our complimentary glass of champagne, which came from an already opened bottle (likely from the previous evening). It was flat and disappointing, especially considering the price point of the restaurant. With only 8 people total in the restaurant, we expected a higher level of service and quality. The wine list was limited and extremely overpriced, comparable to Michelin-rated establishments but lacking in delivery. While I appreciate supporting local families, we don't plan on returning. The food was good, but not worth the steep price tag, which totaled over $800 including a mid-range bottle of wine. Overall, the food was enjoyable but the overall experience did not justify the high cost. Service was lacking, meal type was dinner, and the average price per person was over $100.
