Unfortunately, the boba tea was disappointing, as were the teas we ordered - they were not only lacking in quality but also overpriced. It's possible that we visited at a bad time, but with other tea options nearby, we are unlikely to return.
We recently visited Tea Time for the second time and had an amazing experience. The July Special Afternoon Tea was delicious, filling, and complemented perfectly by the English Rose and Rooibos teas. It was a wonderful breakfast experience! We appreciate the kind and helpful service from Tim and the staff.
Charming and cozy tea shop with a delightful selection of teas. You can enjoy a traditional tea time experience here, and they also offer a full vegan option! I was delighted to discover a vegan high tea that was easy to reserve (make sure to book in advance), which I could enjoy with my non-vegan friend who opted for the regular high tea. They also sell adorable teacups and teapots. It's convenient to have tea here and then stroll over to the nearby used bookstore for a nearly perfect afternoon.
Note that this cute tea shop is a sole proprietorship. For one person, he keeps the food warm and the teapots cozy. He has required ordering ahead, and given the variety of the menu, I can see why. Service is no-frills friendly.
A wonderful choice for catering events. I'm a graduate student at Stanford who hosts residential events. Tea Time is a great option: everyone loved the beautiful ceramic teaware and the elegant serving trays for tea food (we had scones, sandwiches, and eclairs . Catering works best for larger events because it reduces the proportion of the fixed costs (set up, etc. relative to the tea and food provided. I hosted an event for around thirty residents.Service: Excellent; I called the day before and they were still able to arrange something for me the following day. They helped me set up and take down the event, and they were very friendly throughout the entire process.Tea: The tea was lovely. We had an herbal and green tea, which both had a lovely fruity undertone.Food: Only my guests ate because we ran out, but that is a positive sign about the quality of the food: everyone was eager to grab another morsel. As far as Palo Alto is concerned, there isn't really another business like Tea Time. Please support it so it can continue to delight our area!
