Paradise Hotel Bistro

Service was good, but the food was very average for the price and lacked any flavour. We had 2 of the chefs specials, and both were tasteless and looked unappealing. At least we chose a good bottle of wine!

Booked a 12 seat table. Had to correct the table as when we arrived, we only had 10 placings. When we added the extra two as per our booking, very cramped. Dined here for the Monday Kids Eat Free. Saving $15 per child is a pretty good deal. Great selection of of meals for them. Knowing its a Monday night and you offer kids eat free deal, maybe make sure you have everything in that deal. No kids activity pack and only 2 flavours of pop tops to choose from made the kids angry and will be hard to talk them into coming back. Movie cinema only show older movies, maybe show relatively new films to keep the kids in there so the adults can have more alone time. Instead the old boring movies made the kids come back to the table and want to go home as there was no activity packs. New salad bar was ok, Good selection but no dinner rolls? Daughter loved the soup. Soft serve machine was a hit with the kids. Menu has great prices but haven't been here when they had any other roast apart from Pork.

Manager is rude and sarcastic. Won’t return here as not worth it. Roast of the day is always roast pork. Food is average and they never get the orders correct. So many times they don’t even have the drinks available at the bar. Previous managers were so much better. Disappointing used to be a great place that our family ate at every Thursday night.

Seafood duo. Poor value for money and fish overcooked. Sauerkraut is not a good replacement for soup. Roast was ok. Baymarie were not replenished in timely manner. Staff were pleasant.

Sadly, no improvement post renovations. Upon entry you're greeted with a waft of what can only be described as a 70's smokers den. New decor is nice and that's unfortunately where the niceties stop. Staff were unhelpful, untrained and obviously uncaring. -no highchair to match the booking -no detail of where to order -no sign of ordered drinks -long wait between many meals arriving -no idea how to carry more than 2 plates -no kids pack without prompting upon ordering kids meals -cinema room hidden away and showing inappropriate movies for any child under 10yo. Food was average at best. Not something I would be happy to spend $20 per meal on. Will not return despite the location being less than 2km from home
