Feedback gevenPlanning to dine in Paris tends to raise my anxiety levels. It's such a wasted opportunity if the meal isn't up to expectations... but this is a good news story! Pramil is in the Upper Marais and was recommended by The Guardian travel section and it was a winner! It's a very small restaurant with a menu which included house smoked salmon with fennel and spinach, perfectly cooked John Dory ( saint Pierre in French!) with charred baby aubergine, white asparagus tips, oyster leaf salad and a lemon emulsion. Dessert? Raspberry millefeuille with Granny Smith apple and red pepper confit (it worked). Oh. Yum. Anxiety levels nicely abated. M.Pramil was a most attentive and professional restaurateur and was happy to spend time explaining the various features of each course. A proper foodie Parisian meal - and not a huge number of euros were parted with. Job done.
Pramil is a small restaurant with comfortably arranged tables that don't intrude on each other. Service is flawless and helpful, but the special dishes are the stars, On our evening, fresh pasta with white truffles was the special--and what could be better? There was a;lso a fresh fish (cod) which was also wonderful. Only warning--there is a marvelous cauliflower cake as an appetizer--but do not have it with truffle pasta unless you are a famished bear. I tried, but could not finish either . And then desserts were a beautiful temptation. The millefeuille with white peaches and ginger cream was not nearly as light as I hoped--just gorgeous and deliciously decadent. Better to have some fruit or terrific sorbet. A lovely space for an unforgettable evening.
Came here on recommendation of our concierge. Don't get sat in the back - feels like a tomb. Our wines were accidentally spilled but no offer to refill. Rabbit tasted like dried chicken. Not impressed.
This small, neighborhood-scale restaurant is every bit as good as the reviews make it out to be. Staff were welcoming and helpful - language was no barrier. The duck and rabbit dishes were wonderful. Plenty of wine choices by the glass, more by the bottle. The desserts worth making room for. We would return here in a heartbeat. It really is small; make a reservation so you won't miss out.
We had a fantastic meal here. It was really good food at a great price. It felt much more high-end than what we paid. It is inventive and may stretch you a little but you should go for it!
