The Wellbeing Group known to most simply as TWG is a highly specialised tea shop with hundreds of tea blends to enjoy available in cotton bags or loose-leaf packaging. Their signature wall of yellow tins imposes an elegance that most perceive has expensive or flamboyant, which is equal to the quality they offer. They pioneered the luxury tea market in 2008 with their first boutique & salon in Raffles Place Republic Plaza, Singapore and now they’re the fastest-growing luxury tea brand to date. So what makes dining here special? The delightful service and the curated ambiance from the way they serve water to the jazzy tunes in the background, you feel the premium you’re paying. It’s only right that TWG Tea has partnered with The Rustan’s Group to operate their brand here in the Philippines. 6 Outlets in Manila and 1 in Cebu it’s not an easy feat to achieve and maintain, but given their history, it’s practically nature to them, look at Starbucks. FOOD PEPPERCORN CHICKEN (525 PHP) ½ Roast Chicken coasted in French Dijon Mustard (soothing) and peppercorn with a side of potatoes, French beans, and a Red Africa Tea based sauce. Tea-infused food is good! SAUTÉ OF BEEF (595 PHP) Our got to dish to get us in the mood when we’re feeling down, we’d go as far as say this is our comfort food, the premium version. Tender beef in a pool of red wine sauce infused with Singapore Breakfast Tea (One of favourite blends for its light sweet tone) for a savoury food dish. AMBIANCE They have an awkward table by the windows that have you sit by the standing guard at the mall entrance, but that can be avoided. Overall, the place is at par with the rest of their boutiques. They even have a temporary outlet at Okada Manila. eater.ph

TWG is an ideal place for chatting over tea and scones, but it's not very ideal for much else. Our family ordered three dishes and waited an hour for our food. The mini burgers arrived eventually, but the problem was with the other two dishes. The chicken we were served, after waiting for that long, was ****** and undercooked. After returning the chicken to the kitchen, it was, yet again, served undercooked. The salmon we ordered was raw as well. In the end we cancelled the two dishes and paid for the third. The only redeeming quality of that visit was how the staff managed the incident. We ordered three macarons while waiting for the food, and we were not asked to pay for them. The management really was apologetic, but I doubt my family will be retiring any time soon. (Except maybe for tea)
TWG is a good place to just drink tea and rest. My friends and I just stumbled here on a late afternoon since we want to chill and drink something. TWG offers great variety of tea so we asked the server to recommend for afternoon tea (addressing sleepiness). We got the Rose Zephyr Tea which is very aromatic and strong. It is a good combination with the dessert. Will visit again if we want tea. :)
Ending our day with the refreshing 1837 green tea???? i super love its fruity blend that leaves an aftertaste of sweet fruits. The aroma was so relaxing that makes me want to sleep after. I also ordered crepe and macarons. Crepe is good but nothing special. However, I will come back to try other teas. The place is awesome????????????
