Al Passatempo - PAVULLO NEL FRIGNANO

What a nice surprise we had with this restaurant!!! We were looking for accommodation in Pavullo Nel Frignano and one gentleman guided us to this beautiful location. The property is in Coscogno, a very small village in Pavullo, on a hill. It's a beautiful house with huge garden and a restaurant with fireplace and barbecue areas outside. The owners are the most kind and helpful people that we've met in Italy. It's a family business, the mother and one daughter are cooking heavenly!!! The father is making wine and grappa and local pork specialities. We wanted to stay one night but the food was gorgeous so we decided to stay another night. We had beautiful different home made fresh pasta, the local dish tigelle, which is a must if you are in the area. Everything was prepared fresh, with care and a lot of smiles. We were very impressed. Their own Lambrusco wine and grappa just perfect. But the best part are the people. Such a nice family!!! Sometimes is better to take off the beaten path just to have such experience. They also have accommodation. I don't know how many rooms, probably 5 apartments. We took a huge apartment, super decorated with antique objects and furniture. The prices for accommodation and food are very low comparing to the quality offered. Too bad that they don't have any website. They only speak Italian. I only have the phone number +39053654950.
