Let me just say it was the highlight of our vacation in Virginia and worth the 9 hr of driving we did that day. Seriously good food! The pulled pork as well as ribs was a hit and I was surprised how delicious the chicken turned out to be- not kidding but that?s the best chicken I?ve ever had. Reasonably priced, cute little place, with kind friendly staff. What more could you ask for? Oh also, we tried the frog legs for fun and I really enjoyed them as well. My husband said a couple of times those beans were the best he ever had without exaggeration and I would have to agree.
Amazing food, affordable prices, lots meat on pork ribs. Beans were best and service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Wow! It's been years since I have been able to rave about the quality and value of good food. The most succulent and moist brisket I have EVER had. Pulled pork was perfect. Delicious sides. Friendly staff.I would drive 30 miles out of my way to come back. If you hike to Cascade Falls, RUN, do not walk, to Bluegrass BBQ!!!
My husband had nothing short of a religious experience eating the brisket cheesesteak sandwich. We had such good food we found time to come back for a second meal in the three days in town. Which considering the leftovers, meant we at BBQ for like almost every meal. Friendly service. Food tastes like it was made by people who love you and take the title pitmaster seriously. Do not miss.
This place delivers on portion size and the variety of BBQ related meats and sides. I especially enjoy the Hot Slaw (it 's spicy). Situated in a former Post Office, the ambience is a bit 1950 's governmental chic, but this restaurant gets both the Bluegrass and the BBQ done right. The wait staff were friendly and efficient they even welcomed in Westley, my 11 year old miniature long haired dachshund, who was on his way to a dog grooming appointment at Gwenderland Grooming in Pearisburg. He liked the floor fries and the occasionally dropped bits of shredded pork.
