Residencial O Ze Galante - Penamacor

After 2 tentatives to have dinner around Penamacor we ended here always very welcome even without reservation. The choices are few but the food comes very fast and is good enough. Descomplicated staff and owner with a good mood makes te food always more tasty

I can't imagine many tourists would chance to stop here, it's very much a locals' place but some English is spoken and it gets 4 stars for value for money. Quality is acceptable. You find not much of a menu just a selection of daily dishes. Sardines are good when in season. The staff are friendly and it's been run by the same family for over 25 years. Unsophisticated but genuine Portuguese cuisine and good quality ingredients. If you are passing by and want a quick lunch or dinner, I have no hesitation in recommending it. It comes to less than €20 per head with wine.

Na minha passagem por Penamacor onde pretendia pernoitar, foi a única residencial que encontrámos com quarto vagos e aproveitámos para jantar. O atendimento foi bom e comemos vitela estufada.

Acho que são muito simpáticos. Comida caseira muito boa. Parabéns. ,
