The locally sourced menu changes regularly so if you have any dietary restrictions (or preferences) you will need to call in advance to ensure they will be able to meet your needs that evening. They have rotating specials that includes a rotating sangria special.
We were refused a table since we didn't have a reservation. I pointed out to the hostess that it was 4:30 pm and nobody was sitting at any of the tables. Nobody. My friend's daughter went to college with the chef and said we should be there at 4:30. Absolutely vacant stare from the hostess. Weir We had to ask if tables were available the next evening. We booked a table for 4:30 and went across the street to the Blue Heron. Didn't have a reservation there either but were seated immediately and had fabulous food and service. We did eat here Menu was extremely limited. We were very disappointed in the food. I got a piece of fish in orange sauce. That's all. Menu gave no options for sides. My friend had the Kale salad. Tough stems drizzled with buttermilk.
Great restaurant ????.we showed up without a reservation, was seated in about 15mins. outside. The waitress was top notch, very knowledgeable. Recited the menu, and gave her recommendations when asked. My wife ordered the sangria to drink, she said it was fantastic. I ordered the catfish and grits, she ordered the pork belly. Both came out quickly and were phenomenal! Will be making a return trip soon! Pendleton has some great local restaurants in the square. Worth the trip!
Absolutely delightful dining! We were able to advance our reservation from 6pm to 4:30pm without fanfare which was very much appreciated. The decor is very simple, almost austere but elegant in it?s own way and serves as a backdrop to feature the food and drink which are the real reasons folks come to partake. Jeremy was an very nice young man who took very good care of us throughout the evening with his calm demeanor and willingness to help us with choices. The menu is small yet adequate and the wine list is one of the best we have experienced in awhile. Very eclectic and interesting again limited with choices from Austria to Italy, California, etc., but even Lebanon which has very good red wines by the way. We opted for the featured Austrian Riesling which paired perfectly with our greens and peaches salad and wild sea bass dinners. And the wine prices are very reasonable for the quality level. The food was delicious! The emphasis is on quality ingredients, prepared well and designed to please the palate. Portions are perfect but if it?s a lot of food you are seeking, this ain?t the place. It?s fresh, delicious, thoughtful food made to savor and enjoy. Complementary flavors reside in each dish. Conversation food in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to linger and enjoy the experience. The final course of fresh decaf coffee with blueberry corn cake was the perfect finale. Absolutely delightful dining!
Had the Rabbit hash and grits! Awesome. The Shrimp and watermelon appetizer along with the pimento cheese was an excellent start. Had the Cabernet. Service was great too. Servers very attentive and great advice!
