Teddy’s Red Tacos - Pico Rivera

EXTREMELY FAST SERVICE!!! Great BIRRIA tacos and quesadillas, simple menu which makes it fast. Check out the tacos, they load them with extra meat ! No doubt I?ll be back . I would recommend also getting the fresh tamarindo drink, they did it right without ice to take up the glass since it was already refrigerated.

The tacos are just okay—nothing special. They look better than they taste and don’t even come close to authentic TJ birria. The meat was quite dry, even though it was served in broth. The pictures and advertising suggest they’re the best tacos in LA, but I have to disagree. It feels like false advertising! Plus, the wait time was frustrating. I understand it gets busy, but I’ve been to many overcrowded restaurants that manage to serve tacos quickly. Here, though, I had to wait 45 minutes for bland food? Disappointing!

The tacos were quite delicious. I was eager to give them a try, and I wasn't disappointed. However, be cautious as the sauce can be a bit spicy. Also, it's worth mentioning that beef is the only meat option available.

This is a place I would visit frequently, but I find it to be overpriced. The birria is decent, but not exceptional. The prices are quite high—$4 for a small cup of broth (about 7 oz) is excessive. Also, there's no bathroom, so thank goodness there's a Starbucks nearby. The venue is small, and the wait for food is around 30 minutes, which feels too long for me. I probably won't be a regular here, but I might come back if they consider adding natural aguas like horchata, jamaica, or tamarindo, since some of us don’t drink soda.

Food was delicious and portions were a good amount.
