Kalahari Resorts Conventions Poconos

My family and I have been coming to Kalahari for the last few years and we love it. The rooms are spacious and clean and the park itself is very nice. Many varieties of rides for toddlers all the way up to adults. The restaurants on site and in the waterpark are pretty top notch and they sprinkle bars throughout for those who like to sip, which is really convenient. The fact that there are multiple bars throughout the waterpark allows you to not have to chase down a drink as you're already chasing down your kids. We will continue to come here as the consistency is key and Kalahari has that down very well.

I go here every summer around the end of August. The staff was extremely helpful. However the downside is that it takes a long time to get a room. When I arrived I checked in but the room wasn’t ready. We had to wait by the water fountain for over an hour. Even after waiting an hour the room was still not ready. The staff though, was extremely helpful. A staff let us leave our bags in a section of the arcade and they looked after it. The room was extremely clean. The bathroom just look so sad. There is only a shower and a toilet. The sink it outside for some reason. There should be like a mat outside the showers, the floor gets wet easily. The water park itself was fun. The Smoke that Thunders was one of the best rides, however since there is a limit of 2 people per clove tube, the line was extremely long. The first time I rode it I was extremely surprised by the huge drop. It is like Wild Wild Beast, but 10x more intense. There was this slide near the Cheetah Racing. You have to stand on a platform and there is a countdown. It was extremely intense, but the slide was very uncomfortable, it scratches your back. I would definitely come back.Rooms: There are 2 beds and it includes all the amenities that you need: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and hairdryer.Nearby activities: There is the hang gliding thing near the resort. Never went there though.Food drinks: The food was expensive if you buy it at the cafe. It is better if you bring your own food, but they don’t allow it in the water park. They should really add security at the entrance and exit of the cafe. It is like a free entrance to the water park.

Went with a group of six including 3 small children we stayed for 3 nights which is a great length of time. We were assisted by Omar and Mathew who was training . Mathew was very nice md cordial. Omar es extremely helpful detailed and assisted us with our upgrade.The resort itself is a it expensive but the water park is very nice and big for the families. The food options are overpriced for the quality . The dining options are better quality and pricing is averagely vacation high. The resort should consider snacking breakfast options to be more affordable. The rooms are dated and don’t have much luxury features for the price of a stays we upgraded to the two bed two bath md we had no AC in one room . Room service was requested twice and they never came. The staff in the hotel is a split between very friendly and helpful and others who are rude and not very happy to be there. It’s tough to be greeted with rudeness when on vacation. Overall we had a great time and made it an experience for the family. Not sure if we would return for an overnight stay of multiple nights as for the same price we could travel to another country , but would terrine for one night just to enjoy water park.

It costs a lot to come here, but it's worth it! It's a really good deal to stay one night and play at the waterpark for 2 days.Food was overpriced, but there's lots of fast food nearby.The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great time and plan to return soon.

Every time we come here, we are always well received by awesome staff! Both Omar and Matthew were such a big help in accommodating an early arrival in a larger room. Their patience and their professionalism were much appreciated.The overall park is fun for all ages. While the kiddos explore the water park, the adults can hang out at the bar in the water. Also, one of the best parts of this place is the spa! You'll always find something there! Food could be better, but you can also bring your own food and just have that instead. Other than that, overall experience is always amazing!
