American Closed - POGGIARDO

On a hot late afternoon when everywhere else seemed closed the American Bar in Poggiardo was a god send. We were hungry, thirsty and ready for a break as we travelled across Puglia. The wine was lovely, the little crisp bread frisa a delight and the welcome from the genial host just what was needed. Our thanks to him and his staff for providing a welcome oasis on a tiring day.

I lived in Italy for 3 months. Poggiardo specifically. This bar was the highlight of my stay. I will come all the way to Poggiardo just to see the amazing staff and owners. Plus the coffee is the best I've ever had. I'll miss this place the most.

Only stopped for one drink ended up having more. Polished service in stylish surroundings. Interesting nibbles arrived with our drinks shame the place wasn't busier but that could have been the time of evening.

The world of spices creates new sensory emotions in our cocktails. .
