Nice little spot on the north end of lakeside. Vegan options aren’t clearly labelled, and a lot of items have eggs, cheese or honey so there’s not a huge number of options without asking them to change the dish . BUT the vegan burger was awesome, probably the best we’ve had in 6 weeks in Nepal. Also tried the buddha bowl which didn’t match the menu description at all, but regardless it was really fresh and perfectly cooked, so yummy. And a huge portion. It had a sweet dressing that I was trying to figure out, and unfortunately realised it was probably honey mustard again this wasn’t listed on the menu. So maybe worth mentioning to staff that you’re vegan don’t eat honey and hopefully they could swap it out. The menu states that 100 of profits go to their charity which is currently helping get meals to local kids in need.
They make Dal Baht for 150 rupees, which is super tasty (no seconds, but it is a decent size), but I find the rest of their food somewhat overpriced. Have nothing else tried, but quite enjoyed the Dal
Great restaurant with very tasty dishes and cosy outdoor atmosphere. We always came back here! The profits go into a social project for Nepalese villages.
The staff was very rude when I asked what the vegan options were. So I ordered the black filtered coffee with rice milk and it tastes very watery when I asked for something to help him, they told me that it was immediate Nescafe coffee. They were rude to me when I said it tasted very weak and replied that there is good coffee in there and complained when I asked for chocolate to give him some flavor and said that they run low on chocolate powder.
