Swiss Chalet - Port Elgin

I’m not from Port Elgin, and the other Swiss Chalets I go to where I live are 5+ stars so this location had a lot to live up to.I ordered online via the app. I’m glad I did because my order was ready when I got there but I still did have to wait in line. It was about 6:00pm on Thursday. The restaurant was pretty busy, and the lineup was about 6 people deep. The line was moving at a snails pace. I could tell people were feeling impatient.When I got to the counter, the server was kind and prompt, handed me my order and I was outta there. If I were to do it again I would probably have just done drive through because my home locations don’t have drive through. I personally think they should only have drive through for Harvey’s and not for the Swiss Chalet side. All in all I think these new store concepts failed big time. There’s a lot of room for improvement from the customers standpoint.Our order was hot and fresh but my biggest gripe was that they served us Harvey’s fries. I hate to complain about something that seems so small, but 80% of the reason I go to Swiss Chalet is for their fries. They are the best!!! So that was a HUGE disappointment. The other person dining with me didn’t mind and the portion was very generous. But ultimately I was disappointed. The chicken was drier than usual as well.I’ll always love Swiss Chalet but I guess you just have to be picky about the location you dine at.

We ordered quarter chicken dinners online for take outs.The food was ready shortly after we arrived and service was good.But food was rather disappointing. Chicken was nice and tender but the portion was very small that my 80yrs old mom could ate all food. Baked potato was not fully cooked.I wouldn't pay 16.50 for this....It was easy to place an order online but I wasn't happy that I had to make an account to order.

The staff was extremely polite and patient with my big order. Everything was fresh, hot and tasted delicious!!

Wow what amazing service today! The manager was extremely pleasant since I ordered right before closing… And the food quality was better than any big city Swiss chalet. Thank you!!

Went in for supper and was told there is no chicken left. For a chicken restaurant this is unacceptable.
