Despite selling a large quantity of crab over the weekend, it does not excuse the fact that the product I received was subpar. It was a waste of $90. Additionally, all four crabs I purchased were mushy and had to be eaten within two days. The customer service and response from Key City was inadequate. I will not be buying from them again.
Want to wait more than an hour for five tacos? Even though you're second in line? Want to spend$9 per taco? Then you've found your place!
Several years ago we have shopped here before for fresh tuna for canning. The prices are reasonable and staff is okay. Unfortunately, their display of meat and fish was unappealing with some of the meat being brown and the fish fillets were old and dry looking. However, the whole fish and mollusks appeared fresh. We had been there on two separate days about 3 days apart to order and picked up fresh crab and had a lengthy discussion with one of the staff so our observation of their products was not from just one day. When we picked up crab and drove home, we discovered that we were give lobster instead. I called to report the mix up just in case we got someone's order. They knew when I called that they messed up the order. I was told we could bring it back and exchange or just keep it since we had paid the price for the lobster anyway. Not willing to go back into town (we live outside town), we opted to keep the lobster. Even though the person I talked to was apologetic, I think an offer to deliver the right goods would have been better customer service. All in all, not very impressed with their service. Not sure what has happened over the last several years but its just not the same.
I love this seafood market! The crew is helpful, fish so fresh it doesn't smell like a fish market. Prices reasonable, always worth a little wait to pick out what's for dinner!
Love Key City seafood! The crab was to die for!!! Daryl cleaned them and we heated them.
