23Hoyt - Portland

We were looking for a new spot for a date night and a friend recommended 23 Hoyt to us recently. We decided to check it out last night and had an amazing time. Two thumbs up!

Food was outstanding as was the service.The flamenco show was great. I am wondering as it gets darker into Fall if there might be the need for a little more lighting on the stage area. It was hard to see the dancers at some point in the eve. Otherwise perfect, as usual!

We made reservations and when we showed up to the restaurant on September 4th at 5pm there was a hand written sign saying due to unforeseen circumstances they could not open today.

They were severely under-staffed when we were there last Sunday. They were very transparent about that, and that it would result in much longer wait times to order and get food. But still, it results in a less-than-satisfactory experience.

Always a great meal, service and atmosphere at 23Hoyt!
