Al Hawr - Portland

I never imagined I would find authentic Lebanese food that surpasses my mother's cooking, but I did! It truly felt like home, and even better! The service was fantastic, the quality of the dishes was excellent, and the décor made me feel completely at ease. I traveled from California to Portland for a visit, and a friend recommended this restaurant. I couldn't be more thankful for that suggestion. Every dish we tried exceeded our expectations; we didn't encounter anything that was merely good or average. Shadi even treated us to coffee and dessert on the house. A huge thank you to El Hawr for the wonderful meal. I hope to return one day!

Someone told me that this is the best Lebanese food in portland, but I don't agree. it is the best Lebanese eat everywhere! there are beautifully designed decor with a relaxing atmosphere. a family owns the restaurant. a vater and sohn, chadi and louai work the front and the mother is the cook. I didn't get her name, but she's a gifted chef. everything was so deliciously complex and beautifully presented. the weeping list was really great. a new favorite place for sure!

How funny! her bartender was out, so the cocktail offers were limited to those who sound too sweet. I was brave and was rewarded. the house cocktail with fresh limonade, mint and oranger flower was refreshing and fun. the Lebanese breeze with a Lebanese absinthe-like liqueur and datum juice was also delicious and refreshing. I ordered the special lamb with saffron rice and was generous and spectacular! I ate every bit. add them in great service and a beautiful environment, I highly recommend!

One of the best Portland restaurant experiences I had in 2022. rich quantities of olive oil, garlic, lemons. general parts of scratches made hummus, and even the fried spinat rolls had to die for. we ordered a tonne vegan-friendly options that were all amazing, including the lens soup and sampler plate. in my opinion, the sampler plate has to be one, they have a large full bar on the hand, and full generous cocktails and local beer and large wine card. very impressive here. the hotel is located in the constantly evolving and modern South Water Front, the room is fresh and welcoming and open and modern and really comfortable and the staff could not be more beautiful. I hope to go back once a week.

One of the best Lebanese food in town. Ask for their yogurt drink, you'll not regret it .
