Bullard - Portland

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! If you’re stopping by Good Coffee next door, you should definitely check this place out. They offer a fantastic vegan sweet potato taco that is really delicious. Many spots lack good vegan options, but this one is a must-visit if you’re in Portland! And if you enjoy pickle backs, I highly recommend trying the trio flight of mezcal, aquavit, and bourbon. You won’t be let down!

I began with a Bloody Mary and a cup of black coffee. While both were tasty, the coffee could have been better, especially in a city renowned for its great brews. The breakfast sandwich and collard greens were delightful and just the right size for brunch. There seemed to be either very few or no options for outdoor seating, but we were able to get in and out smoothly on a Sunday. I would definitely return if I visit the city again.

I have a passion for great cooking and delicious food, complemented by polished decor and attentive service, and this restaurant certainly delivers all of that—worthy of a full five stars. It's among the top five brunch spots in Portland for me, and I'm reserving my ranking because I've only discovered two others that measure up so far. We tried the chicken breakfast tacos, smash burger, and loaded hash browns, all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor! The service was warm and very attentive, and the interior design transported me to a vibe reminiscent of Chicago or New York City. I really appreciated the open kitchen design, which added to the experience without making it noisy. I will definitely be back!

Terrific brunch, we ordered the smoked beef ribs, shrimp and grits and apple cake donuts. All were delicious, the ribs were super tender, smoky and paired perfectly with the rest of the plate. Loved the fried grits, crispy on the outside and cream interior. Service was on point and cocktails were great!
