This location no longer has a cafe on sight. The nearest cafe location is at 715 N. Fremont St.
Grand Central offers a decent lunch, but it could significantly improve with one change: better catering to the local workforce. Situated in the heart of an industrial area, the restaurant takes 20 minutes to prepare a sandwich, which is far too long for the many workers nearby who only have 30 minutes for their lunch break. Introducing a selection of pre-made sandwiches or establishing daily delivery partnerships with local companies could address this issue. One only needs to observe the nearest Jack in the Box during lunchtime to realize the missed opportunity. A quick and affordable alternative to fast food could boost business even further. As it stands, it’s just a solid, eight-dollar sandwich.
I went here hoping to enjoy delicious food and a beverage, but the workers don't listen very well. They aren't exactly friendly either. Although while my drink tasted horrible, the pastry wasn't bad.
This review isn't about the bread (which I really enjoy), but rather about the breakfast menu at Grand Central. We stopped by for coffee and some breakfast sandwiches, and unfortunately, we both left still a bit hungry—plus, our wallets were significantly lighter. Honestly, you can find much better breakfast options at other places. We didn't try any pastries, which did look tempting, so I can't comment on those. However, if you're genuinely hungry, I recommend looking for a different brunch spot!
