Lucca - Portland

Surprised how busy this place was on Thursday night! Food was really good, especially the beets and mushroom pizza. We were satisfied with everything we ordered, but probably wouldn't order the butternut squash again, needs a little bit of sauce and cook the squash a little longer for my liking. Customer service was great, not overwhelming but waiter made sure our water was filled and checked in.

Lucca has a great atmosphere. Our waiter gave us incredible service and the staff was very friendly. I had a pizza that was pretty good, the crust was average. My wife had a Bolognese that she really enjoyed. The wood fired bread was very very good.

Our family had a fantastic meal. The staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant, even though they were unexpectedly short-handed. If you love Italian food, this is your place; although expect your meal choices to be taken up a notch or two. Some really nice surprises on the menu mixed with more traditional expectations. Clearly, the chefs are having some creative fun, and the results are delicious! Reservations are highly recommended.

Wonderful staff and great happy hour. Recommend the brussels sprouts and pizza!

The service was excellent. The food was even better, they have been around for awhile and the reason is consistency. Also love that the menu is perfect sized just enough options to please everyone.
