I dined in at this restaurant and purchased the cheapest chicken dish for €12.50, which turned out to be the worst chicken I have ever tasted. To add insult to injury, they charged an additional €2.50 for rice. The takeaway price for the same dish with rice is only €8.50. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant again. The quality of the food was terrible and the chicken was overpriced.
Arrived Saturday evening for a family meal Living in laois we had always intended to try but never got around to it So anyway we arrived Saturday evening It wasn't overly busy and we were seated straight away Party of 4 only given 2 menus Which I thought odd as it wasn't busy Order's taken quickly and without any issues Waitress wasn't over friendly But that didn't bother us We ordered 3 beers 1 water We all had different dishes 3 starters and 4 mains All meals were really nice But the place looks like a hall with chairs and tables No ambience at all and no Chinese pictures or anything like that And most Chinese restaurants have lovely ornamental and shubbery around But not this one It's just a cold looking place With no atmosphere
Ate at this restaurant many times in the past. Stayed in Portlaoise this weekend with friends had a fabulous meal in this restaurant. Staff were very pleasant helpful. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely return!
Recently visited here for a bit to eat. We both opted for the duck i had the black bean. It was really nice . Personally i like my duck pink. But its a chinese so what can you do. Nice staff and very clean. Came to €33 for the two of us so very reasonable . Will return.
My husband and I visited this restaurant while staying in portlaoise, we were taking a chance as we don't know the place, but it worked out for us, don't ya just love when that happens. Well he ordered the crispy duck and he was so happy he said it's the best he has ever had that not many places can cook it as good, my vegetarian curry was gorge loads of variety in it, we will defo make the trip back
