Feedback gevenVery worst egg lappa in this Appachi hotel.. we never seen like this lappa..
So during our stay in Pondicherry, we scouted for good cafes and restaurants every day. Appachi came as a different option owing to its unique chettinad cuisine. Though the lady was not very keen, but I somehow managed her to follow. The entrance to the restaurant is like entering a home. The staff is welcoming and know what they have to offer. The seating is classic and don’t expect anything fancy. We ordered parotta, fish fry, prawn fry, mutton chettinad and rice. The food was completely than what we are used to. It just made an awesome taste to my buds. The lady was a bit skeptical (not that experimental!!) and so she ended up ordering some idly as well. A bit of plain rice was essential to neutralize the spices and savour the food more. I loved the parotta and ordered more. I would say the taxes and others took the bill a little high but the prices are otherwise okay. Fantastic experience keeping in mind the different cuisine and its presentation. I would say a must try if you are staying near White Town.

Enjoyed my meal considerably. They served me biryani despite lunch hour being over and got 1-2 dishes made despite inconvenience. Wholesome flavours and enjoyable experience overall. I wish to go back and try more items.
This is a Chettinad specialty hotel with yum food. They serve amazing dosai (Dosa) with chicken curry and the Chicken starters are good. It's a good visit for typical Tamil food.
