Hellen’s Chill House - Puerto Jimenez

We had the vegan casados and watermelon smoothies and both were absolutely delicious! They have loads of vegan options and the staff is very accommodating so most of the vegetarian options can be made vegan if needed! The cafe itself is very cute and they offer free wifi!

Cool coffee-cafe vibe, delicious menu, free wi-if, best coffee in town, USD or credit cards accepted.... This place would be my favorite IF they were open in the morning when they SAY they will be. I confirmed morning hours with them (in person, in Spanish for 3 different days (3 diff times and they gave me info but were only open 1 of the 3 days early in the morning when I really needed an early breakfast. It’s probable they have more consistent hours when not affected by COVID....but with people planning early excursions, it’s a bummer when a place like this says they’ll be open for early breakfast then they are not. THANK GOODNESS the fabulous panaderia down the street ALWAYS opens early (sometime like 4:30am.... and they have excellent breads/pastries/sandwiches coffee. The Chill House has great food, but disappointing hours.

Delicious. Everything we ordered was full of flavor. I had the vegetable salad which was big enough for a meal and had everything from grilled veggies to seeds and a very good dressing that you can't get enough of. My partner had a burrito with carne mechada. Sooo delicious! And the fries it comes with are very good seasoned wedges. Will definitely go back. Friendly service too!

We met our osa wild guide here and had a cup of cafe con leche. (Coffee with milk) It was so good, that we returned again for cafe and pastry. They often have tortes, cakes,pies,and cinnamon rolls. Really good food. They open early, 5 am. Support a green local business, with super hard working,friendly people.
