Food is incredible and service with a smile. It's always a plus. Very small and rustic inside, but it has a large outdoor seating area. Good food, good wine, friendly staff. Can't ask for more.
We came late for lunch and the place was already empty, but were greeted by a welcoming smile. we ate what was served us: olives and bread, a large fresh mixed salad, beef, hairdryer and rice. We drank a big vino verde of the house and liqueur at the end of our meal. excellent service. breathtaking view of the Douro River. How to eat at home.
We were close, so we went there for lunch. It is not really a restaurant, but rather a meal with the locals. They do not speak English or French. Only Portuguese (a little Spanish). Luckily, the lady asked another customer for help for...translation. There was everything very nice to us. There is no menu, but they beat us 3 different plates (meat, fish and beans). It is simple, local, homemade and very good! Local wine is also very good. There you can really enjoy the real Portuguese food. And it is very cheap (50€ for 5 pers. You must be a little adventurous to go there and face a certain unknown, but you will not regret it!
