The food was excellent (aside from the wontons), but the portions were small and the prices were a bit high. However, when you're the only restaurant open in such a small town, you have to charge what you need to. I’ll definitely return on my next visit! The staff were also very friendly!

Honestly, the best fish and chips I've had in years! The food was perfect, and the burgers were incredibly juicy and absolutely worth every penny. The batter was crispy and delicious. The customer service was outstanding; they truly go above and beyond to ensure you and your family are well taken care of. The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing. I will definitely be back again!

The food was absolutely delicious! You can't beat the price, especially for fresh local fish. The staff was really friendly as well. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to try the fish and chips—they're fantastic! Even the leftovers were delicious the next day. One of the ladies even gave me an extra fillet because she thought the first one was too small. What a lovely gesture!

Hokianga Takeaways ...if I could just say that would be good...because if you haven't been there you are really missing out..the best fish and chips every...so if you want a day out or stay for the weekend .you won't be sorry..

I visited this spot during my Northland trip. Good spot to eat some fish and chips. I got chicken burger which was really nice. I was pleased to see that the entire place had only women staff! The staff was very friendly with some great customer service skills. For the first time ever I saw an Aoxoyl fish! I would definitely visit this takeaway again when I visit this place next time and would highly recommend! Cheers
