Great Expections - Reading

We spent one night here a Sunday the bar was closed but were pleased with its location and had a quick and efficient check in lovely large room with four poster and a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was great and the staff very friendly would definitely use again

Stayed here for one night to go to Reading festival. Friendly staff on arrival reception is through the bar at the end. Room was very large and clean with a four poster bed which was very comfy and huge. Bathroom had a double bath which was nice to soak in after the festival. Had fan in room which was good as it was 34 degrees on the day we stayed. Had breakfast in morning cereal and full english which was good . No noise from other rooms and it was close to Oracle shopping centre where we visited Bella Italia for evening meal . Good for what we needed.

Not bad for a town center pub. Hotel seams to be busy. Staff a tad lax a daisey and not on the ball but great spot for a reasonably priced drink or food

The large space inside this pub is divided into multiple areas so it is possible to avoid the large TVs if you want to. There is a variety of decent beer available, and the food is good. I prefer the burgers here compared to the more hip burger resturants elsewhere in the town centre. worth the short walk up London Street.

Stayed for one night in a Thursday. Heck in was easy enough (end of bar). Room was good enough size and had all the facilities. A little on the warm side for my taste. Food choice in the bar is good and meal was well presented and tasted great. Room was on first floor and could hear the bar music fairly loudly until about 22:30 which was annoying. Breakfast was too late for me as check out early. No onsite parking.
