So I accepted their offer and went back for dine-in with my wife. The food, again, was excellent. There was a small hiccup where my appetizer got lost in the wind and I had to remind them and they brought it out after our main entree had already come out, but it 's a minor thing. The service and the food were great, they took good care of us. I paid for my wife 's drink, and left a nice tip and told them we would be back again. Original Post, 1/12/2024: I 've been waiting an hour for my food and it still isn 't ready. If I don 't literally cry from how good it is this was a waste of my time. If it takes you an hour to get takeout orders out YOU HAVE A BOTTLENECK IN YOUR KITCHEN. FIX IT. The guy at the counter didn 't even have the good sense to tell me how long the wait time might be. I can 't even sit down and enjoy my food because of how pissed I am. It was supposed to be date night in with my wife and it 's ruined because terrible service. You need to fix whatever the jam is in your kitchen or you need to downsize. Because you clearly can 't handle timely takeout and dine-in customers at the same time. Grub-Hub and 3rd Party delivery men were in and out of the takeout area waiting for orders to be ready, leaving and coming back an HOUR LATER. Some poor **** is sitting at home waiting for food he ordered at 7 o 'clock and it 's going on 8 by the time the deliveryman gets it, so this poor whoever isn 't eating until probably 8:30 or 9 o 'clock. Are y 'all ok with that? Is that acceptable? I waited an hour for an in-person takeout order. That is appalling. I 'm so fucking pissed. If your customers have time to sit and think to themselves 'we literally should have gone anywhere else, ' you have a problem. I could have bought groceries and made it myself and been eating sooner. I 'm not coming back.
Lemon is my favorite Indian food restaurant in town. I usually come for lunch because the prices are more reasonable and they give unlimited rice and naan. I am never disappointed by the food and the restaurant is continually updating the overall ambiance. I ordered veggie samosas as an appetizer and the lunch chicken tikka masala platter. The platter comes with a soup or salad (I got a salad with a mango dressing that I forgot to photograph but it was a big soggy since they add the dressing themselves) plain naan, white rice, and a complimentary side of lentils. The only complaint I have is that the samosa appetizer isn't consistent. When I have come with another guest I have gotten 3 samosas but this time they served me only 2. At the end of your lunch meal they serve a small dessert. This time they had a yummy rice pudding with raisins and cinnamon but I have had mango yogurt or a fried dough ball with syrup on top other times I've come (sorry can't remember the name of this dessert). Would recommend for sure
Wow. Lemon blew me away. Not only was the food fresh, greatly priced, and delicious, but the service went above and beyond. We went during lunch and received a complimentary side salad with our entrees along with a complimentary entree. When I ordered one order of naan bread, they came out with 10 pieces. They made SURE to leave you full and satisfied. The flavors were incredible, prices were unbeatable, and the ambiance is casual and laidback.
This is my go-to appt for Indian food in Richmond. Today I went there for lunch and got the usual butter chicken and cheese nana. Lunch comes with a complimentary salad or soup, butter naan, and dessert. The salad had too much mango dressing for my liking but everything else was good. The dessert tasted like strawberry whip cream. Our server was nice and the other staff kept our water glasses full.
I'd been looking forward to trying Lemon Cuisine after always noticing how great it smelled when I walked by. I admittedly have very high standards for Indian food and I thought this was better than average but not spectacular. I ordered the Malai Kofta, my friends got: paneer makhani, butter chicken, and chicken curry. They gave papad with chutney to start and I thought this was cool and unique! My malai kofta was just alright, I ordered it medium hot (spice level) and it wasn't spicy at all. I also thought it was lacking some depth in flavor. Additionally it only came with 4 koftas and wasn't very hot when it arrived. The basmati rice was just ok. Their naan was pretty good though! I tried my friends' paneer and chicken curry. These dishes were better than mine! The paneer could've also used a bit more depth of flavor but was still tasty, and the chicken curry was quite good. I didn't get to try the butter chicken. We were planning to get dessert but completely forgot so I can't speak to that! The service was decent.
