Feedback gevenWorth every bit of wait in line and difficult parking, and worth every penny. Give yourself ample time and patience when visiting on the weekend/peak times. But the staff are incredible, so kind and helpful. Every time I come, I learn something new and fall in love over and over. They explain things thoroughly and joyfully. These staff members deserve a raise, a bonus, customer's full courtesy, and recognition for their ability to efficiently help each and every customer
This is a bakery for bread lovers. Small, artisan bakers who use a wood fired oven. The line thing is odd your first time visiting but it's worth it. (Given the size of the place and the layout limiting people inside makes sense) We bought a Classic loaf and a sesame rye. These are naturally leavened breads but don't expect an overly tangy bite like San Francisco style. These breads are more French in style. This afternoon I visited this Church Hill bakery for the first time. The two staff people I met at the counter were very friendly, and I bought a small package of six shortbread cookies. I tried one, and it was delicious. The rest were a gift for someone else!
Delicious pastries and great coffee daily. Really friendly staff too. Ive been coming here for years and they stayed solid throughout, even during the pandemic.
EDIT: recently tried their pogacas, blueberry lemon tart, and light rye bread too. They're all amazing! Their light rye bread is moist inside and has a sesame crust, one of the best breads I've had ????. This place won't let you down. Excellent wood fired bakery. Their pastries are one of the best I've ever had flaky and mouth watering flavor combinations. Tried the lamb borek, greens feta tart, fig cheese croissant, and sour cherry pistachio pastry all
