Waffle House - Ridgeland

10/15/2023 at 4pm. No greeting when we entered, waitress was short with us, coffee was cold, guy on the grill burned himself twice and cussed out loud (I was with my 2 4 year old boys), some local lady had the whole staff tied up at the bar area telling some story about her relationship, and our table didn’t even have a menu. We go to the Beaufort location at least once a week and love it there since WH is my sons favorite restaurant. We will NO LONGER be stopping in the Ridgeland location despite the convenience it offers on our commute. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Stopped in this morning to grab a bite and walked back out shortly after arriving. The tables were occupied, and the bar top was dirty from previous customers, and the staff had the pancake mix bowls up there as well. In their defense, it was really busy, and I only saw about 3 workers, including the cook. It's raining right now......inside and outside the restaurant. Yep, the ceiling is leaking water and it's freezing in there. Cold and wetness does not mix well. I'll go eat elsewhere.

The service we received on this date, is not the norm for the WH, we sat down at a booth and it was dirty, we had to ask the waitress to wipe down the table, she didn't give us a menu so I had to get one myself, she had an attitude of I don't want to be here. When we travel back and forth between our home in South Florida and our home in Massachusetts we love to stop and eat at the WH. 5 staff at this location doing a lot of cleaning. No one bothered to tell me after seating myself and waiting about ten minutes, that they weren’t serving anyone because third shift should have been there already. No food, no communication, plenty of dumb looks and attitude. I do not usually have a problem like this at Waffle House. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My first Waffle House experience ever. Came in late late at night to warm up on my motorcycle trip. Two brothas running the place and playing rap music. They immediately made me feel welcome and made a fresh pot of coffee for me. Hashbrown bowl is right up my alley and was prepared perfectly. I kinda loitered at the counter for a while when I was done and they just happily kept filling my coffee for me.
