The woman at the counter was very rude; she didn't want me to eat with my children and spoke badly about my wife. I will never go there again.
As a visitor to Riverhead, I generally avoid chain restaurants. When I craved Chinese food, Google Maps directed me to Fry Pan, which had a respectable 4.1 rating, and I can see why. I ordered the Hunan chicken combination plate (which came with tree, fried rice, and an egg roll) along with some steamed pork dumplings. I couldn't resist the delicious aroma and ended up eating the egg roll before I even made it back to the hotel; it was crispy and flavorful, a fantastic start to my meal. Once in my room, I dived into the dumplings. Unlike typical dumplings that are filled with a small meatball, these had eight fluffy pillows stuffed with well-seasoned minced meat. The Hunan chicken was also well-spiced, though I would have preferred a bit more sauce. Overall, I think Riverhead offers a great option for Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended!
Not many boba tea places on Longisland especially out east. I am happy with Frypan's boba tea! Delicious ? definitely recommend ? Got one for myself and my two sisters. We all loved our teas!
They do some things well. Soup is not one of them. Wontons are all dough. As for the egg drop soup, egg drops should be in broth, not gelatinous snot.
