The floor in my room is not cleaned thoroughly. The A/C stopped working 3 nights out of 4 when we stayed. The sink sinked clogged and smelled really bad.
I would like to share my experience with Doubletree Hotel Los Angeles/Rosemead locationThis past Friday 8/25/23 we held a memorial celebration of life service for my father in Law, I have to say the service we received from the staff was absolutely amazing!!! The food was excellent the servers constantly refilled the trays, the servers refilled the tea and water on the tables and not once did we have to ask for anything as the staff was on top of every detailThe bar attendants were very attentive and worked extremely hard and served with a smileI worked directly with Leslie and Luz exceptional ladies , especially Luz excellent customer service with immediate follow upBased on my experience I highly recommend this venue for any special occasions!! Things were broken in the hotel room. The walls were damaged, the batteries died on our lock for the door and it took 30 mins for them to replace them. There were only 2 sets of towels even though we had three people staying. The pool was out of towels as well. The parking situation was a nightmare. Way too many events happening. One night we couldn 't even park because it was full so we had to return after 11pm even though we were told the events would be ending around 8pm. The rooms were poorly cleaned we found garbage from a previous stay in the room. The shower faucet would leak and drip all the time. The staff kept trying to enter our room numerous times (they would announce themselves). When I asked the front desk about it they denied it happening. Why are people doing room checks at 930am-10am? And why would housekeeping (again they would announce themselves) keep knocking when we have the do not disturb sign on the door? On top of it all the hallways did not have ac so they were extremely hot, so when we were locked out it was very uncomfortable. I 've stayed at several Hiltons and this one was by far the worst. I was very disappointed.
I know there are plenty of reviews citing the AC issues, but I would be remiss if I didn 't echo the absolute disappointment I experienced in the approximate eight hours I was stuck at this hotel. My brother and I arrived late ~1 AM) Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We had already been in touch with the hotel by phone earlier that day since we were traveling cross-country and were going to need a late check in. The hotel thanked us for the heads up and said the room would be secure. There was no mention of any potential AC issue on the phone, nor was there mention of the AC issues during check in. Once we got to the room, we noticed it was extremely hot and stuffy in the room. We adjusted the AC, figuring it just needed some time to cool down. After an hour had passed, it felt like it was getting hotter. We called down to the front desk and were told that they had received similar complaints and that the only thing they could do for us was put us on the list for the engineer who would be in in the morning . The room was approaching 85 degrees and we were exhausted. I got online and started looking at reviews, only to find that this AC issue had been going on for quite some time before we ever arrived. This told me that it was unlikely that anything would be done in the morning about the issue, so I attempted to find us another hotel for the night. Most of the nearby hotels couldn 't get us in and one even said that they had filled up partially due to people booking new rooms because of issues with their ACs in this same DoubleTree. I eventually found new accommodations but they couldn 't get us in until the next day so we were stuck in the hot room all night. Fortunately by 4 AM, the temperature came down to about 77 degrees which felt like a relief. I will say, we received a full refund for the remainder of our stay and the staff was friendly enough when we indicated that we were cancelling the remainder of our reservation so for that I was grateful. The largest part of our disappointment came from not being informed of this issue at all, preventing us from finding new accommodations before we made it to the area and thus causing us a sleepless night at the very start of our vacation which hindered some of our plans.
