El Regio Mexican Grill - Rosharon

After finally placing our order, including a dish to go, we waited patiently for what seemed like half an hour before receiving our food. However, the to-go order was missing. When we brought this to the attention of a busboy, our missing dish was brought out, but it was cold and my husband's food still hadn't arrived. It was at this point that I realized something was amiss - we were the only people of color in the restaurant, and it felt like the waitstaff was deliberately neglecting us. I spoke to a young lady at the register to express our concerns and felt that we were being discriminated against. She denied this accusation and asked where we were from, implying that our ethnicity was the reason for the poor service. We ended up spending an hour at the restaurant, feeling terrible and hurt by the entire experience. I know that one customer's decision not to return may not make a big impact, but I hope that by sharing this review, the restaurant will take steps to improve their service not only for their business but for their integrity as well.

The service at this restaurant is quick. The tacos al carbon were delicious and the salsa was also very tasty. While the atmosphere may not be flashy, I enjoyed their refried beans and rice.

Food was OK... Waitress was not. She was missing in action. And the restaurant was not busy. I had the lunch fajita combo. The meat was dry. Had a bit of flavor but really couldn't tell because it was so dry.

First time eating dinner here and the food was good but customer service lacks. After receiving our food and drinks no one came to the table for 20-25 minutes to ask if we needed anything. I ended up having to to pay at the take out register. The reason I got for no one coming was that the waiter was eating and the manager wasn’t even at the restaurant. You have to do better if you want customers to return.

This restaurant is great, the food is great and it's really clean. The margaritas are excellent and the prices are reasonable too! I recommend them to everyone.
