They're friends who make the word pass first: a nice restaurant will open in Saint-Gilles, we know Richard via the Cuisine de Flore and it's an excellent cook, we have to go together! The first visit is unfortunately a little overdue (the difficulties of organizing a dinner with friends who have not at all the same use of time), and the frustration and jealousy of not always going to climb up there while other friends and colleagues have already been able to have lunch or dinner there without failing to mislead me on their fine culinary experience. The expectations are inevitably very high when I finally cross the threshold of the pretty glass door of the 203 floor of Waterloo — and I am very far from being disappointed. A first culinary experience among very convincing friends pushed me to come back with colleagues during a second visit, which only confirmed the first impression I had left on 203. Like many trendy and young restaurants in Brussels, the setting is simple but chic, the atmosphere is very warm, the choice of each small finish and decorative element is made with taste without being in excess — exactly like the pretty little dishes that are prepared there. A quality and local cuisine and products hide behind a renewed menu on a weekly basis: two entrances (a vegetarian, one based on fish or seafood or meat), three dishes (vegetarian or meat or fish), and two desserts. The chef experiments and mixes different flavors in delicate weddings that do not fail to surprise. Richard also takes into account the various diets and possible food allergies (pssst les vegans, I know one that was absolutely delighted). I refer you to the article of the Brussels Kitchen blog and its photos that provide a nice little mouth-watering of what you can expect from the restaurant (I can unfortunately not include the link, but know that the article is also available in English). And now, it's the beginning of a beautiful love story that could last a long time.
That's great! Whether seasonal products with a beautiful wine map (we have a very nature Italian wine, we love). The service is very friendly. The place is also very pleasant. Anyway to discover as soon as possible!!!
Richard and Mathilde have created an amazing experience at Le 203. It feels like an extension of their home that is warm and inviting, delicious, and refreshing. Richards experience around the world blends together and is perfectly interpreted on every plate he delivers. Mathilde's knowledge of wine ensures every meal is perfectly paired. Le 203 is a true masterpiece in cuisine. Book at the bar and have the best night of your life.
203 is a kitchen made with love in a very charming and warm place. The 203 is the smile and kindness of the mistress of the place, the 203 is on the menu 2 entries, 3 courses, 2 desserts, we were 7 , so have been able to taste everything ... a unique delight of refinement with perfect wine ... and prices are very reasonable. We return very quickly so we were happy at 203!
Good discovery tonight of 203! A menu for carnivores, fish lovers or vegetarians. Yes! For me it was the fin, grilled cauliflower, rocket, radish and a sauce to fall. Simply delicious Good fresh ingredients, impeccable service, listening (thanks to wine tasting) and smiling! When are you going?
