Unlike my previous orders, this time there was no basil in the popcorn chicken, and the overall quality fell short. It seems like they might be cutting corners. I hope the establishment can maintain the standard I’ve come to expect in the future. I visited earlier today, and while I can’t recall the exact time
This restaurant is small and it closes early. I ordered the beef udon and added extra garlic butter. You can also add teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and hot sauce to add more flavor.
This is my go to spot for popcorn chicken in this area. It's always hot and delicious. I was disappointed when I ordered the bbq chicken and beef the last few times. It was so salty. I'm going to need to drink a ridiculously amount of water. Please use 50% less salt next time.
So happy we found a pepper lunch dupppeeeee! It's the same concept except their menu is bigger. I got the udon with meat which the udon came out really well cooked which meant it was soggy which i think could be better. Service was great, i forgot to order one entree and she came out making sure we had the right amount of entrees. The rice and meat one was really good and crispy. We also got the calamari which was delicious and the crab wonton which i would literally buy 10000 of. So good! Give this place a try! They also have a second location in newark. The place is kind of small, and it's in a plaza so a lot of parking!
My brothers and I came here for our first time (place was recommended to is by my little sister and cousin in law) First impression: The place was very basic Asian spot. Also, realized it closes earlier than most restaurants we've been to (7:30pm) on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy and we sat ourselves. Food and drinks: Our server gave our table a pitcher of water and 3 plastic cups. Then directed us to the QR code on the table (I do enjoy ordering on my phone btw. I don't feel rushed and all three of us are pretty introverted). We all ordered on one phone. Started with shrimp tempura and popcorn chicken. I did enjoy the popcorn chicken more than the shrimp tempura. Then we were served our entrees curry beef udon noodles hot plate, beef hot plate and a salmon and beef hot plate with kimchi and rice. We also ordered boba. A matcha, crème brûlée and a strawberry latte. The boba was just okay. The crème brûlée tasted more like brown sugar boba than crème brûlée. The hot plates came sizzling. I wished it stayed hot longer to cook my beef as I have a weak stomach and like all my meat well cooked. My brothers didn't have that problem and enjoyed every bit of it. We checked out on our phone the same way we ordered and walked out without having to talk to anyone. (Introvert friendly for sure). It was a very chill dinner for sure and I will be coming back to try their Hawaiian plates.
