Pabu - San Andreas

Omg. This place literally ruined all other sushi for me. It was SO good and SO fresh. Worth the price you will pay for a meal. I wish I lived in San Fran so I could eat this more often. It was the best sushi I?ve ever had in my life. Amazing service aswell. Will. be returning next time I?m in SF for sure.

Definitely a treat at Pabu @pabusf Not an everyday place to dine, as it?s on the pricer end, but so good and worth it for a special occasion! ?? Had their MISO-MARINATED BLACK COD, which includes porcini purée, and roasted root vegetables. The fishwas super moist, melt in your mouth. CRISPY PORK FRIED RICE, has charshu pork, garlic, and scallion. A comfort food item. Had anice sticky texture, but not too much! KAISO SEAWEED SALAD, san baizu, sesame dressing, and lemon. Simple, well-seasoned,texture seemed better compared to other seaweed salads I?ve had. MILK CHOCOLATE-SESAME CUSTARD, with black sesame sponge, cocoanibs, red bean mousse. Nice mouth-feel, not too sweet. Also had, but not pictured: AHI TUNA POKE, includes tobiko, scallion,crispy wonton. The crispy wonton is everything. TOKYO FRIED CHICKEN 'KARAAGE ', ginger-soy marinade, spicy mayo. Crispyexterior, moist meat inside. MAITAKE MUSHROOM TEMPURA, with dashi-soy dipping sauce. A little different from the usual shrimpand veg tempura, a nice change.

If you're like me, a menu this size can get overwhelming. For our party of 5, we let the hostess help choose and left satisfied but not overly full. Miso soup is definitely one to try. It has a nice smoky flavor and easily the table favorite...and that wasjust an app! The spicy edamame wasn't too spicy but just enough. Overall a great experience and certainly worth trying out for adate nite!

The food and service were amazing as always! One of my favorite restaurants. The staff's selections and picks were fantastic and everything was cooked beautifully. The tomahawk and sashimi was amazing and they were more than accommodating of gluten free andnut allergies. I think it's one of the best sushi restaurants in sf!

Service presentation was fantastic. The menu has creative dishes, the miso soup and mushroom appetizers, toro taster, all fabulous. The sushi rolls were not as unique as I'd expect, we ended up taking advantage of the very good Saturday special 50% off menu for some of the rolls. The extensive sake menu was impressive! Overall good experience, would go again for a date night. The ambiance in the bar lounge area was better than the rest of the restaurant for an intimate date but the larger dining areas looked good for family and larger parties.
