They season it perfectly and cook it to perfection. I also love the grilled red snapper and the fried tilapia here. The garlic bread is delicious - very garlicky and toasted just right. The lines are super long and the wait can be excruciating, but it is definitely worth it!
Great selection of seafood, but their incredibly large Louisiana oysters are what attracted us. I'll be sure to make another stop at this place in the future soon.
Came here the other day for a double scoop and was pleasantly suprised. First, it's on the water near Ports of Call and a bunch of chain restaurants. The surrounding area is getting lots of redevelopment and the San Pedro waterfront district has a very bright future ahead. Small ice cream shack with outdoor seating shared by the adjoining restaurant and overall nice vibe but a little touristy so be warned. Ice cream is good, actually really good but it's not homemade. Got me a scoop of strawberry and chocolate. Guys, this is the place to end your date. If you can't close after going all ice cream waterside well, you just may not be able to close anywhere....you can thank me later now go do it!
Pan-Pacific is one of my favorite places to eat in the Los Angeles area. The freshness of the seafood can't be beaten and the location offers spectacular views of the maritime activities so vital to our areas economy. From the Vincent Thomas Bridge to the World Cruise Center to the ocean-going vessels chugging along down the Main Channel, there is always something to see. It's hard to put a price on that really. Despite the location and the freshness of their seafood, the place struggles with some things. Most glaring is just how disorganized the place can be on busier days. Groups of people crowd the entire front counter especially the order pick-up area and the cash register. Orders take 45 minutes or more to complete. The management makes no effort to break up the logjam and just let's it continue. That shouldn't be. They should work on streamlining the process from ordering to pick-up. Something as simple as giving each customer a numbered sign to place on their table and having one of the restaurant employees deliver the order. Also, get rid of that stupid $5 deposit for the soup bowls!! That being said, I still highly recommend this place if you are a seafood lover. Oysters to die for, the most delicious lobsters in the West and countless other menu items perfectly prepared. Try to avoid weekends when the place feels packed. Be prepared to eat yourself into a coma. Enjoy!
It is one of the restaurants that is overlooking the water at San Pedro, you pick a eat plate to order or you can choose your own fish to grill it or fry it. And their cooking is free. We got also 1 pound of shrimp, they cook it with sauce. Despite going in the memorial weekend and the long line that took us more than hour to order, their service was good, they smile and they give you your time to choose. My only thing that I didn't like, is that they had only 3kinds of fish and 1 kind of Shrimp. Other restaurants in the area has more variety. When you get your order, you just sit outside overlooking the water. It is a public seating doesn't belong to specific restaurant.
