Il Metastasio - SCALEA

Can you believe we were able to dine outside the first day the restaurant opened for the season? February 1, and we enjoyed a three-hour lunch outside. One lady who owned the place spoke English, so she ordered for us, and it was lovely. My meal was heavy on the seafood, which I love, and the gnocchi was delicious. The waiter did not hover over us but was there when we needed something. We had five courses and ate at a leisurely pace, so it was an enjoyable afternoon.

We have decided to come to this restaurant for dinner, the worst food I ever had in Calabria!! In short case we have decided to order some pasta that they recommended to us, when the pasta arrived we began eating until my auntie stuck her fork into the pasta, and it was frozen.... Never in my life came across frozen pasta especially Italy , just to give you a fact the pasta was solid in the inside and cook on the outside. Won't recommend this Restaurant to anyone!!! At the end of the day we tipped them just for the service.

We had a relaxed late lunch under the big umbrellas at Il Metastasio. We opted for the '10 euro all day menu ' three courses plus water and wine. Coffee was one euro extra. The service was very good. The food very good quality, quantity, presentation and the vino blanco pretty good. There was no cover charge.

Very nice and cozy, very friendly staff and excellent cuisine. I chose for the communion of my son a menu based on fish. all fresh and delicious! recommended!

The metamare is a small restaurant a few meters from the sea near a large parking lot, beautiful furnishings and excellent cuisine. the service was very attentive and kind. We'll definitely come back.
