Monks Haven Cafe - Scarborough

After visiting the Abbey, we were freezing and in need of warmth, so we decided to have a hearty full English breakfast with tea at the restaurant. The meal was satisfying and filling to the point where we didn't feel hungry for lunch or dinner afterwards. Additionally, breakfast was already included in the price of our drinks.

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. Rosie, the dog, is well behaved and has a lovely nature.

The food and service at this restaurant were outstanding. My mother tried the gluten-free quiche and scone and said they were the best she has ever tasted. She mentioned that it was a wonderful feeling to be able to enjoy "normal" food. I opted for a slice of Victoria sponge cake and it was truly the best I have had in a long time.

Absolutely little gem of a place ,serve small fish and chips which is a perfect portion ,lovely friendly staff ,quirky backwards clock on the wall adds character and worth a visit to see the handrail on the staircase which is sculptured to look like a eel .
