The Farm Bakery Cafe - Seacliff

I was quite surprised to read Jasper's criticism. My husband and I have dined at Cafe Sparrow several times, and I can hardly believe his experience was so negative. The food is delicious, and although the restaurant is small, the atmosphere is typically wonderful. Bob Montague, the owner and chef, is one of the kindest people and a top chef in the city. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience, Jasper, and I hope you’ll consider giving Cafe Sparrow another chance. It’s a fantastic local restaurant, and we really need all the good dining options we can get here—it’s not San Francisco, after all.

At that point, we were nearly finished with our meal, and she had been sitting quietly for an hour. While I understand that the tables are quite close together and that some noise can be disruptive, our child was not crying or causing any disturbance. We have never been treated so rudely before, and it left us shocked. My husband even thought the owner was going to compliment us on how well our child was behaving after an hour at the table, but instead, it felt confrontational. Our entire party of six adults was put off by the experience. My stepfather vowed never to eat there again, and my aunt and uncle felt the same way. Despite the good food, I don't think I will ever return to Café Sparrow.
